Frequently Asked Questions!
What is Yoga Teacher Training (YTT)?
- Yoga Teacher Training is a transformative journey designed to deepen your understanding of yoga, promote personal growth, and equip you with the skills to become a certified yoga instructor. It’s not just a training program; it’s a path to self-discovery and a gateway to a fulfilling community of like-minded individuals.
Why should I consider Yoga Teacher Training?
- YTT offers a myriad of benefits, including a profound exploration of yoga philosophy, enhanced physical and mental well-being, and a deepened connection with your inner self. Beyond acquiring teaching skills, it’s an opportunity for healing, self-discovery, and becoming part of a supportive yoga community.
What are the prerequisites for enrolling in your YTT program?
- Our program welcomes individuals with a passion for yoga at all levels of experience. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or just starting your journey, our inclusive community encourages personal growth and fosters a sense of healing.
What are the physical (asana) practice expectations?
- We are a program that honors the individual health and limitations of the body (physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually). Although we ask practitioners to fully participate in the assigned physical yoga practices and teachings (such as taking weekly yoga classes at our studio and physically experiencing yoga poses and sequences throughout our training sessions), we do not require practitioners to physically practice if their ‘body’ is in need of restoration and ease. Rather we ask that practitioners still show up, but honor their body’s needs that day.
How long does your YTT program last?
- Our YTT program spans 11 weeks, offering a comprehensive and immersive experience. During this time, you’ll not only deepen your knowledge of yoga but also experience the healing benefits it can bring to your mind, body, and spirit.
What styles of yoga are covered in your YTT program?
- Our program encompasses various yoga styles, from the grounding principles of Ashtanga to the dynamic flow of Vinyasa, providing a holistic understanding of the practice. Beyond physical postures, our curriculum explores meditation and breath work for a well-rounded approach to healing.
How much does your YTT program cost?
- Our program tuition is $3400, inclusive of materials and a transformative experience. You will also receive a free membership during your training. Investing in YTT is an investment in your well-being and the opportunity to join a supportive community dedicated to healing and self-discovery.
Is financial aid available?
- We are committed to making our program accessible. Payment plans are available so that the benefits of yoga teacher training are accessible to a diverse community.
What sets your YTT program apart from others?
- Our program stands out for its emphasis on healing and community. We prioritize creating a supportive and inclusive environment, fostering connections that extend beyond the program. Our experienced faculty is dedicated to guiding you through a transformative journey.
Can I teach after completing the program, and is certification recognized globally?
- Yes, upon completion, you’ll be certified to teach yoga globally. Beyond the technical skills, our program emphasizes the healing aspects of yoga, empowering you to share the benefits of this practice with your community.
What happens if I miss a class or need to withdraw from the program?
- While attendance at all scheduled meet times is encouraged for full certification, we understand life circumstances may lead to missed days. “Make-up” days are available, and for extensive absences, a plan can be discussed with faculty, potentially extending the training period. Withdrawals may allow re-enrollment in future sessions, but no refunds will be provided.
Will I receive mentorship during and after the program?
- Yes, our program includes faculty mentorship throughout the training as well as after the training. We highly believe in the power of sincere connection and maintaining connection during and after the training. We even offer a mentorship program exclusively to our graduates which provides individual and group teacher-to-teacher training sessions with our YTT faculty to help our graduates continue to develop, mold, define, and deepen their teaching.
How can I contact you for more information or clarification?
